Hi Ramana,

Yes, Colligo Contributor works great as an online client, too, since it will sync content immediately when you are online (depending on settings, of course). How sync works is set through the options panel (View > Options). If you check "Synchronize when list is modified", then SharePoint is updated immediately every time you add or modify content through the Contributor interface. Conversely, if you want Contributor to check the server every time you open a list or library in Contributor, check "Synchornize when list is viewed". That way you can be sure you are looking at the freshest content.

Thanks for the kind words about Reader. I hope you like Contributor even more.

Hi,
I tried Calligo reader and I really liked it. I was planning to explore Colligo contributor for our remote office users who are facing slowness issues with web based sharepoint. However, in this regard I have a question, can we use Colligo contributor as an on-line (not off-line) client? What doe it mean is that there should not be any delay in saving the changes. As soon as the user ckeck-in the document from Colligo contributor, the same shoudl be avaialbel to other users from sharepoint as it works with web based check-in.

Best Regards,
Ramana

Solid statement. I as well am curious how the playing field will look like, in 2006 we all had some discussion how to position Groove next to SharePoint 2007.

Same will happen with 2010. But no worries. I am confident that the differences will be there, and we can advise our customers to purchase the right solution. Whether it will be Workspace or Colligo.

As for now, I am a very enthusiastic user of Colligo Contributer, showing it to my customers. And it sure fills in the holes of the current MSFT products very well.

Keep us informed!
